Europe-wide Digital Radio Just Got Easier

"The WorldDMB announcement of 2008-09-12 on Digital Radio Receiver profiles recognise in their "Receiver Profile 1 and 2 the requirement for in-car products with integrated navigation systems to decode both TMC* and TPEG**.  Profile 1 recommends that the receiver decodes TMC and TPEG while Profile 2 mandates the receiver, when integrated with  a navigation system to decode TMC and TPEG.  It is clear that this important WorldDMB initiative will have a major impact upon the TISA domain, also.  TISA should expect a heightened activity among services and product developers who will now have to take TTI services seriously into account when planning their activities."
