Anyone with an interest in traffic and travel information is welcome to sign up for our TISA newsletter. This is distributed periodically and contains a selection of news stories from the TISA web site, giving an insight into our technology development activity, deployment status of TMC and TPEG services and other traffic and travel information hot topics.

TISA Membership

Every organisation with an interest in the development or deployment of traffic and travel information services can benefit from membership of TISA. TISA members enjoy the following benefits:

• presence at the only meeting place devoted to all aspects of TMC and TPEG development and deployment
• access to the authority that sets and enforces TMC quality standards
• opportunity to build partnerships with all players in the travel information business chain
• opportunity to help determine priorities and "road-map" for future traffic and travel service development - all members have the right to submit new apoplication ideas in Use Case format

Every TISA member can take part in the full range of activities, with no limit on the number of active participants per organisation. Members have full access to the private part of the TISA website. This contains a wealth of information, including:

Where is TISA based?

The non-profit association (ASBL or Association Sans But Lucrative) TISA is based in Brussels, Belgium at the ERTICO - ITS Europe offices. Many of our meetings take place in Brussels as the location is convenient for members travel, but TISA has the specific aim to hold activities wherever they are needed, to support members worldwide.

How to Join?

Membership of TISA is open to all public and private organisations with an interest in traffic and traveller information and which support the objectives of the Association.

An annual membership fee is charged to support the cost of operating the Forum. For the year 2010 this fee is 4200 Euro plus VAT. Pro-rata arrangements may be possible for organisations joining late in the calendar year - ask the Executive Office for information.

There is also a once-off Joining Fee of 2100 Euro plus VAT. The Joining Fee provides working capital to TISA and recognises the potential information and intellectual knowledge that TISA has available for its Members.

* Please note, the official ISO standards describing TMC and TPEG can only be obtained in their final versions from the appropriate national standards body or directly from ISO at their online standards store. This is the case for any official standard, intended to maintain the integrity and version-control by providing a definitive source. TISA operates an Active Membership principle. All TISA members can attend all committee meetings and access related information on the TISA website. Only members actively involved in a specific Working Group or Task Force gain full access to the working documents of that activity. Ask the Coordinator for more information!
